Request for parts missing from set 76408
Posted by: Vincent Messenet - 2022-09-12, 20:12 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (11)

Hello,

Here are some parts from set 76408 (12 Grimmauld Place) which are not yet in LDraw:

Many thanks in advance to the authors who would like to take any of them.

  Flags
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2022-09-09, 22:59 - Forum: Official File Specifications/Standards - Replies (2)

A while back I made some US Flag subparts (usflags01-04) so that, with the exception of some edge cases, it would be easy to make a US Flag. Upon reflection I think these should be bumped to primitives.

Thoughts?

Note: If it's decided to move these, I'll do all the conversion work.

  Next update (2022-05)

I'm targeting sometime around 9/17 (+/- a few days) for the next update. If you have fast trackable corrections, now's the time to get them submitted.

  Hogwarts Express 76405
Posted by: Rene Rechthaler - 2022-09-07, 20:33 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (5)

Has anyone started with the Hogwarts Express?
I started with the digital base set but all stickers, prints and new parts are of course missing.
Anyone want to do the parts?

For example, is the size of the new big Train wheels somewhere else (BBB XXL)?

  phandle prims
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2022-09-07, 15:12 - Forum: Parts Tracker Discussion - Replies (8)

Why is the origin where it is? The reason of "that's the way we do things for clips" isn't good enough in my opinion.

Also, this phandle1 could reference phandle2 since most of the geometry is the same. In that case 2 should probably become 1 and vice versa.

Tile 1x2 with minifig Neck pin?
Posted by: Jaco van der Molen - 2022-09-06, 10:41 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (1)

Hi all,

A strange request maybe, but in my memory a certain part I am looking for does exist, but I cannot find it.
Really old I guess. I know I own this piece physically too.

I'd describe it as "Tile 1x2 with minifig Neck pin". A minifig head should fit.

Looks like this:

I could be mistaken though. Can be a clone brand too...
Any insights?

  Armor vs Armour
Posted by: Jaco van der Molen - 2022-09-06, 10:23 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (22)

Hi all,

The other day I was looking for a certain minifig armor piece that fits around the neck.
Searching in LDCad with keyword or description for Armor gave other parts than Armour.

I think we should be consistant in either spelling using Armor or Armour. Perhaps both?
Can we generate a list of parts that have Armor or Armour in their description and/or keywords and make it consistant?

  Sting parts (572)

The string parts are a mess. Lets figure out what we want to do and get them off the PT

  Common fonts as primitives.

Why do we care about this again? I came across this comment from Chris and it got me thinking:

I think consistency within the Architecture tiles alone would make letter prims useful but I forgot why we cared enough to stop.

Thumbs Up Parts Request (3626bpb0082 / x454pb01)
Posted by: Jose Arias - 2022-09-04, 17:33 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (2)

Hello, this is my first post so I hope I can do things right.

I am starting a project to re-create the 1978 Catalog LEGOLAND Town in Studio 2.0, as well as my first ever LEGO set,  6258 - Smuggler's Shanty. I have struggled to find a couple of patterned parts, and I was referred to LDraw by the Bricklink help page. I can't find the parts in the Part Tracker, so I decided to write a post in the forum asking for them. If the parts already exist and I am posting this unnecessarily, I would be glad if you can correct me and teach me where to find them.

The parts are:

1. A red-haired old pirate head with an eye patch and red short beard (there is a similar pattern available in Studio, but with black hair):
- 3626bpb0082 - BrickLink
3626bpr0027 - Rebrickable

2. A white Shell road sign that is slightly curved (I can't even find the part without the pattern):
x454pb01 - BrickLink
upn0252pr0001 - Rebrickable
