Suddenly my LDCad behaves weirdly with steps: each time I add a step, the 3D view is reset to default orientation and zoomed to fit. I don't remember making any configuration change... Any idea what/where could be the culprit?

Hi all,

I am looking for this one, that Rebrickable calls
SHOULDER SHELL W.3.20 CONNECTOR
and has an "LDraw" image for it.

On Bricklink it is called
LegoLarge Figure Armor, Round, Smooth

It comes i.e. in the Captain Phasma and Jango Fett buildable figures sets 75118 and 75107.

I guess it has not been made? I cannot find it on the tracker too.

Anyone working on or have made it, but not posted?

I have a strange issue, since late this afternoon, my LDPE installation does not start anymore.
I rebooted my PC multiple times, installed LDPE over the top and still the same. Any clues

Hi all,

I've got some semi big (need a beta stage) features on my LDCad todo list I don't really want to do in a 1.6d/e version, namely:

- !DATA support
- !ATTACHTO support
- minor snapping and scripting extensions


So I'm thinking to do a 1.7 version instead with a couple of more things I wanted to do in 2.0. But that version is a looooooong way out.

For this I would like to include some bigger new features to really make it worth the effort.

I'm thinking about these features myself:

- Interactive animation (spin a gear to see what happens, given you scripted it to do so   )
- Custom 'single line' bin content (to drag and drop unknown/preconfigured meta's etc). Probably as an extension to templates.

If anyone has some additional ideas this is the time to let me know.

but unfortunately I know too little about him or his career here at LDraw,
because I only been active here since a short time.
But what I can say for sure about Gerald is that he is a gifted parts author and has been supporting the LDraw team for many, many years.
Both as part author and as reviewer.
Therefore I would like to express my sincere thanks on behalf of the Steer Co. and the entire LDraw team for his work here.

I've come across a few parts in Rebrickable that have 3D renders, but I can't find the part in LDraw or in Studio.  For example:  https://rebrickable.com/parts/10164pr000...top-print/

I'm pretty sure these are not cases where there is a part (official or unofficial) and it's just under a different number.  

Does anyone have an idea where the underlying parts for these renders might come from?  For the example above, it looks like BrickOwl has the same rendering, but I haven't found any documentation on where their renders come from. 

I posted the same question on the Rebrickable forum a while back, but Simon, who was responsible for their part images, passed away recently. 

As an aside, I have found many cases where there isn't a part (official or unofficial) in LDraw, but there is one in Studio.  Why would that be?

Request part 3039pb108 (BL) / 3039pr0021 (Rebrickable), Slope 45 2 x 2 with Controls, Buttons, and Navigation Display Pattern. Only used in two sets but since they're both Star Wars UCS models I thought that might kick up its importance a bit. 

If anyone can find or make a good scan or photo, I can probably put together an SVG of the pattern without too much trouble. It looks to be mostly easy geometric shapes!

I am wondering what program does the LD part editing, & what do you recommend? I would like to edit some parts to create in some of the models. Any help is appreciated.
