Get models from LEGO Bricktales

Hi all,
Is there any way to extract the models from the game LEGO Bricktales?
These worlds are wonderfull vignets and have nice builds.
I finished playing the game and I am working on various models from it.
Example: https://forums.ldraw.org/thread-26926.html
I also started building some of the worlds and level vignets, just for fun, but this is very intense.
It would be nice if you could extract builds form the game, just like with instructions and other LEGO 3D sources from the past.
Any help or advices is apprieciated.
Jaco

Different behaviour between command line and call from php application

Hi,
When I create a snapshot from the command line, like so:
Code: C:\>LDView64.exe "temp_3001-4.ldr" -SaveSnapshot="3001-4.png"
then LDView uses all the settings and preferences which I defined previously via the GUI.
When I use the same command from within a php application like so:
PHP Code: <?php
system('LDView64.exe "temp_3001-4.ldr" -SaveSnapshot="3001-4.png"');
then LDView obviously uses default paramters. What could be a reason for this behaviour. Maybe an issue with environment variables?
Hans
PS: I tried some additional command line preferences to overcome the issue:
PHP Code: <?php
system('LDView64.exe -SaveZoomToFit=1 -SaveAlpha=1 -AutoCrop=1 -EdgeThickness=5 "temp_3001-4.ldr" -SaveSnapshot="3001-4.png"');
but not every setting can be controlled via Command line preferences (Edge Lines on, FieldOfView=0.1, Texture Studs off). Or did I miss something?

Question about the pattern of the parts

I have noticed with the minifigure heads in the library that there seems to be errors with the patterned versions.
For example, minifigure heads 3626bp84 and 3626cp7g have the same pattern.
Minifigure head 3626cp84 has the same designation as the b variant, but a different pattern.
There are other cases of this type.
In my opinion, the designation of a pattern should be the same for the same or similar parts, that is, for example, for the minifigure heads, the pattern p84 is always the same, whether it is the a, b or c variant.
What is your opinion?
Greetings
Manfred

Updating and or uninstalling single programs

Hello,
I have installed quite an old version of the All-In-One-Installer (2016-01). Two questions
1) Do I have to uninstall the old version prior to installing the new one?
2) Can I uninstall or update a single program e.g. LDView? The only option in "Apps and Features" is to uninstall the entire suite.
Hans
PS: OS is Windows 10

Making stickers from scratch

Hi everyone!
I wanted to make some stickers and printed pieces, a lot of them are missed. But the problem is that I can't find a clean tutorial *how* to use the programs. I need something step by step, for beginner. I can share the files of finished stickers, but first I need to know how to make them.
What I have from needed things:
- scanned sticker sheets in jpg (physical sheets too)
- LD Pattern Creator 1.7.3
- LDPartEditor 1.8.63
- all dat parts I need to put sticker on (included unofficials)
So where should I start from scanned stickers, and how to use both of these programs?
And bonus question - what is the best way to scan the print on curved part? Panel 89679pr0003 with Bugatti logo, included in set 42151

Hi,
this release will improve the integrated txt2dat version a lot.
![[Image: attachment.php?aid=12753]](https://forums.ldraw.org/attachment.php?aid=12753)
As always, you can download LDPE from this page:
http://nilsschmidt1337.github.io/ldparteditor/
Changelog:
(2 new features and 3 bug fixes)
With this release you will be able to...
- ...see the currently used font name and style (txt2dat).
- ...add a small margin on all sides, so that the text is completely included in background (txt2dat).
The following critical issues were fixed:
- [txt2dat] There was a glitch in "w" top (Arial font, default parameters).
- [txt2dat] Removed parameter "min angle between line segments" which had no action.
- [txt2dat] Removed the unnecessary "interpolate flatness" parameter.
The program was tested intensively with "real world" files.
However, something can go wrong in about 140.000 lines of code.
Installation on Windows:
- Download and extract LDPartEditor_win32_x64.zip
- Run LDPartEditor-1.8.65.msi
- Start LDPartEditor from the start menu
Installation on Linux:
- Download and extract LDPartEditor_linux_x64.zip
- Install ldparteditor_1.8.65-1_amd64.deb
- Start LDPartEditor from the menu or via launcher
Installation on Mac OS X:
- Download and extract LDPartEditor_mac_x64.zip
- Mount LDPartEditor-1.8.65.dmg
- Drag LDPartEditor.app to the Applications folder
- Copy ldparteditor.sh to your home folder
4a. Open a Terminal.app and run ./ldparteditor.sh
4b. Or open a Terminal.app and run /Applications/LDPartEditor.app/Contents/MacOS/LDPartEditor
I listen carefully to your requests and possible complaints. Please leave me a message, with your thoughts and wishes to further improve the software.
LDPE is a 3D CAD application: The overall system requirements are higher. While I recommend to use a powerful 64-bit multicore system, it could be possible, to run LDPE on older machines as well.
System Requirements:
Minimum System Requirements:
- OpenGL 2.1 compatible Graphics Card
- Operating System (64-bit): Windows [7 or newer], Linux [e.g. Ubuntu Linux >=14.4], Mac OS X [>=10.6]
- CPU: Multicore-Processor e.g. Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon II (>2.0Ghz)
- RAM: 4GB
- Video-Memory: 1 GB
- Free Disk Space: 100 MB
Recommended Requirements:
- Operating System (64bit): Windows 7,8,10, Linux [e.g. Ubuntu Linux >=14.4], Mac OS X [>=10.6]
- OpenGL 3.3 compatible Graphics Card
- CPU: Multicore-Processor with 4 cores (or more)
- RAM: >4 GB
- Video-Memory: >1 GB
- Free Disk Space: 512 MB
- For a faster start, LDPartEditor and the LDraw™ library should be installed on an SSD.
