I became slightly confused today. There are parts that I pulled off your website many years ago. Now it seems as if they don’t exist. They are parts for the Train Track 9v Points. They were authored by Soete Ludo. I submitted one thinking it was an update. Only it was treated as if I authored it. Could you please explain?
This is the part list:
2864.dat
2866.dat
s\2864s01.dat
Hello Travis,
I just discovered that sometimes LDView creates syntactically invalid .pov files on export.
The problem seems to be triggered when you're rendering a file from your LDRAW "models" folder
which references a primitive located in a folder called "48" inside that "models" folder.
What happens in that case is that the resulting .pov file contains a line
Note the leading "48/" in the identifier, which is illegal.
Note that LDView seems to substitute the substring _slash_ for / already,
but that seems to fail in some cases.
I've attached my test file plus its .pov output file here for your reference.
I'm trying to work out the command line parameters to render a snapshots of different models files.
I want a fixed camera position regardless of the model size or location. I've tried all manner of combinations of -ModelSize -Autocrop -FOV -ZoomToFit -ModelCenter etc. etc. but cannot seem find the right combination.
I thought the -cg45,45,1000 would do it (lat, long, distance) but this seems to get different results depending on the size/location of the model in question.
I would like to see Bricklink parts 3003pb035 (2x2 brick with number 1) to 3003pb065 (2x2 brick with number 31) created. At first they don't need to be accurate.
They can be found in set 853195 Brick Calendar.
I've decided to wipe the dust of my LD4DStudio project and spend some time on creating a maintenance update for it next month or so.
Although I do have some issues collected already, I would welcome any additional issues people are having with the 1.2 version, so I can fix as much as possible in the new version.
If you not familiar with LD4DStudio, feel free to take a look at it here:
I am curious if any other frequent Bricksmith users can confirm encountering the crashing bugs reported here, especially the one that occurs when closing documents, which has been a real thorn in my side the past few months: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_i...tid=762990 (If so, please consider commenting on the sourceforge bug tracker as well.) Thanks.
I've released a maintenance update for the 1.1 version of LDCad.
Do note, an uninstall of a pre 1.1 version is highly recommended (windows only). It isn't necessary for an >= 1.1 beta 1 upgrade though.
This release features the first native 64 bit Linux version. Do note the 64bit version is some what untested. As a result it might be less stable then the 32 bit variant. If you got any issues please report them here or directly to me (contact info is on site).
I also noticed the 'out of the box' vga drivers for AMD cards might have issues rendering the edge lines correctly. This issue seems to be a specific oss driver bug because the software mesa and proprietary AMD driver render everything as it should be.
As this is my first post, i'd like to say hello. Hey all! Now, on to my problem.
I've just upgraded to MLCad v3.4 after using 3.1 for a long time. Everything is fine, however i've noticed when i select a part (or group of parts) and go to <right click> 'Enter Pos. + Rot.', i can't choose 'Use Rotation Vector Values'.
I've seen another post on this forum about the same problem, and the response was 'something got broke and hasn't been fixed', but that was five months ago and i was wondering if something HAS been fixed and i just don't know about it.
If it is still broken, is there a workaround to get a part to rotate less than the fine grid measurement of 15 degrees? I guess i could set the grid default to the desired angle, but i never KNOW the actual angle i'm after beforehand. I always adjust the angle until it sits where i want.
Any help or information would be most appreciated.

After some correspondence with Willy, I thought I'd post a link to an LGEO update I've been working on, the progress of which I have been posting over at Eurobricks.
Lutz Uhlmann seems to have stopped working on LGEO since about 2008, where a large number of his original parts were updated or fixed. However, there are still a number of parts missing from the LGEO library, as well as a few parts that still need fixing.
I have put together an update that contains some more fixes, a few cosmetic updates, as well as some new parts that I have managed to create by either adapting existing parts or (and this took a little while to get my head around) creating parts from scratch.
Although some of my new parts are not perfect, they look good enough when not rendered close up, so I'm happy with them for the time being.
The zip file contains all the relevant files required, and a PDF document of instructions on how to install them.
The current total for the parts pack, as of 2012-08-30, is:
Incidentally, I've started work on a POV-Ray rendering guide on the LDraw.org wiki, and will publish that properly when it's finished. It'll be based on the Eurobricks guide, but with some tweaks.
