These are in 10233 Horizon Express and looks like a bit simple.

Would someone make these as soon as possible? Wink

Thanks for reading.

  Exporting LDraw Database of Pieces
Posted by: atomant - 2013-02-13, 21:45 - Forum: General LDraw.org Discussion - Replies (1)

Is it legal/possible to export an image of each piece in LDraw's database in order to create a database with every piece in it? Are there copyright issues with these images?

Assuming it is allowed, is there a way to do a mass export for each piece?

  Hoses
Posted by: Roland Melkert - 2013-02-13, 20:31 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (10)

I'm trying to setup a collection of hose templates for use in the upcoming LDCad Alpha, but I find some of the parts in the library a bit confusing.

For example in the Flex hose 754 and 756 the !Help comments say 'place a string' but the exact spacing isn't mentioned. I've attached my current version. It uses the non deform method for generating the part, I would prefer to use deform but there isn't a suitable donor for this in the current official library.

Secondly: the technic hose (79 and 80), should it start with a static part (pin length or something, like the widening part on pneumatic hoses) or should it bend from the very outer tips?

Attached is my current version for a flex hose, but It's probably the wrong scale. Do note the length isn't restricted so I'm looking for the correct scale on segment level.

I probably will have more questions about other parts later on. Also if someone would like to see additional flexible parts prepared let me know and I'll try model them too.

Any help / insight would be appreciated.

  Bending pieces?!
Posted by: Remy - 2013-02-10, 7:06 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (5)

Hi there,

just learned to use LeoCAD and I'm trying to build none other than 10179 Millenium Falcon. One step is to bend a Lattice piece, or "Boat Rigging 5x27 Trapezoid" around the back engine thrusters, point is, I need to bend it... I can't in Lego DD, so I figured I'd try a much better program, LDraw.

Am I missing something, or is it not a capability? Is it available in MLCad?

Thank you people.

8855 - Prop Plane [Technic] (3 models, unfinished)
Posted by: Ignacio Fernandez Galvan - 2013-02-09, 11:55 - Forum: Official Models - No Replies

This is unfinished because some parts are missing (battery box, propellor), and others are still unofficial (helmet, cable components). Otherwise, it should be OK.

How to add non TLG parts to the system
Posted by: Michael Heidemann - 2013-02-09, 11:03 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (6)

I have already seen many system toys that are visual build based on the LDraw System of Tools. Smile That is good.

I also have created one of them. But now I run into a problem, at least for me.
I have split the newly created files according our scheme - parts - primitives.
As place for this files (it is the toy plasticant) I think the best is a folder named plasticant in the same place where the unofficial folder is located.
In this folder I have (analog to ldraw) the folders 'parts' and 'p'.

In LDView I have added both pathes.

My problem is, that a file in 'parts' that uses a file in 'p' is not correctly displayed!
Sorry, my bad. I had to restart LDView first to also search in the added pathes!

But my main question remains. If I am right with my thoughts, then we should have a document that shows how this can work together with the tools we have today and that our library do not need to be cluttered with other files (also unofficial).

  SR 3D Builder version 0.8.3.18
Posted by: Sergio Reano - 2013-02-08, 22:03 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - No Replies

Here I'm to announce the latest new release of my application.
Official web site: http://sr3dbuilder.altervista.org/

It takes by far much longer than what I expect, but it worth the waiting!!
Here is a pair of videos to show what I'm talking about:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z0tnvz8lWw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In4xoQq6JQg

A lot of fixes and some major addiction are available. Here is a list of changes.
Please read carefully for what pneumatic parts are currently supported. More to come...

Fixes
- Drawbrickmode: Slope parts are only partially displayed
- Extra unuseful connection added to Axleholes
- Picking a brick can cause wrong group assignment
- A lot of Pneumatic parts fixed and technic parts cleanup
- Some unwanted parts keep sliding in animation
- Pin with bush was incorrectly managed causing wasting time in animation computation
- The ClearConsole button has no way to cancel the operation
- The Bump Mode option in Animation Console was not saved in model
- Application crashes when loading a model if it has a switch ring (part 6539) not connected to an control handle used in AnimationConsole
- Restoring group view in big models can cause crash when hovering with mouse over model
- Starting an animation AnimationConsole without starting a classic animation before causes nothing to happen or application crash
- Locked Block in Animation Console was not correctly loaded from a saved model
- In animation, all parallel translation keep moving together
- Resetting animations does not reset flexible parts
- If you try to save model in the application folder you can fall into an infinite loop
- Towbar steering has a little wrong movement when used with shock absorber
- Towbar steering could hanging when mixing steer and shock absorber
- Sloped shock absorber were not having correct slide length

Added
- Major addiction: management of some pneumatic parts
. flexible tubes and air splitters
. switches (input from central and exit from lateral connections only)
. small, medium and big pump (not connected to motor)
. small pistons only
Pistons speed is still not correctly managed. Be patient...
- Hinge solve now can connect pneumatic pistons
- A marker showing where DrawBrickMode starts
- Alt + mouse wheel moves selection a whole brick up/down (24 instead of 8)
- Latest lDraw official update has been included
- Many technic parts addiction to Mirror List

Changes
- to easily connect a piston to engine cylinder do the following:
Enable Alternative UI (by pressing <U> key)
align piston to cylinder moving mouse and holding LMB pressed and then release it
correct orientation by pressing keys (you cannot click the pivot arrows while in UI) to rotate piston (don't mind if piston will move following your cursor)
hoove to the ball over the rod to connect the piston
Easyer to do than to explain. Try it!
