Incorrect part length |

Hi,
Part 30292 appears to be half a stud short.
It's listed as 'Flag 7x3 with rod' which already is one stud length less then what Lego considers it (8x3).
If this is already known or if there's another place to post this please let me know as I'm new here.
Thanks!

Hi, is it possible to set the LDView camera position using the location and look values from a previously exported POV?
Code: // .LXF > .LDR > .POV
// .LDR generated by LEGO Digital Designer 4.3
// .POV generated by LDView 4.1
// POV-Ray version 3.7.0.msvc10.win64
// POV Camera location vector
#declare LDXCameraLoc = < -321.407227,-293.625153,-993.385681 >;
// POV Camera look-at point vector
#declare LDXCameraLookAt = < 29.499531794876987,-257.1845097763055,32.221443202768342 >;
// POV Camera sky vector (<0,-1,0> will usually work for standard "up")
#declare LDXCameraSky = < -0.054637141728353447,-0.99703780595713842,0.054133134362709626 >;
// ...
Thanks,
Brian

2016/2017 LDraw.org Steering Committee: Call for Nominations |

Per the LDraw.org Bylaws at http://www.ldraw.org/article/268.html, Subsection
6.03(a), the 2015/2016 Steering Committee hereby calls for the community to
nominate individuals as candidates for the 2016/2017 Steering Committee[1].
Please post nominations in response to this message. Nominations will only be
recognized if they are in response to this message.
Per ss.6.03(a), you must specify the name of the person you are nominating,
along with your name. Another member of the community must second the nomination
in a reply, and the nominee must publicly accept the nomination in the same
channel (direct reply to the nomination or second) in order to be valid. If the
nominee does not accept, it will be assumed that he or she has declined, and
they will not be placed on the ballot.
Nominations will close at 11:59 PM GMT on 29 February 2016. This means that to
be listed on the ballot, a candidate must have been nominated, seconded and must
have formally stated acceptance by that time.
The Steering Committee will give sufficient notice of the election and election
procedures per ss.6.03(b).
NOTE: subsection 6.03(b) states that elections should take place before March 1.
We interpret this to mean that we will commence the election on March 1, but
since it is electronic, it will run for 2 weeks, just as last time. The exact
time and date of start and end will be announced sometime very close to (but
after) 0000 GMT March 1.
Again, thanks to all of you for your commitment to the goals of the
organization, and in working with us this year. Please, stay involved with
LDraw.org and keep it moving forward!
Willy Tschager
On behalf of the LDraw.org Steering Committee

[1] Try not to confuse the LDraw.org Steering Committee (SteerCo) with the LDraw
Standards Committee (LSC). The Steering Committee sets the course for the LDraw
Organization while the Standards Committee deals with the LDraw File Format.

A few questions about making patterned parts |

For some reason, I decided I wanted to make all the Adventurers sets in LDraw, but complete including all missing patterns etc.
Aside for a bunch missing parts which I hope someone can make (for example this, this, this, this or this), there are also a lot of missing stickers and patterns.
Now, I have no idea if I'll ever finish all these Adventurers sets (sadly, I'm known for not finishing things...), I do have a few 'general' questions.
I'm quite new to making LDraw parts. I did a few patterned parts about a year ago (with help from Philo, thanks Philo!), but I'm stuck now with 2 things:
- How can I make a patterned minifig head? Does someone maybe have a LPC template?
- I wanted to make this pattern (I do have this part in real life btw ), but when I import the 'projection' data in LPC, a lot of the shape is missing. Is that because it uses these 'primitives' or something like that?
And aside from that, I also have this question about LPC:
When I import a brick as projection data in LPC, there's an option that says 'Edit reference lines'. That way I can remove those green reference lines, but I can't remove the yellow dots and when I export the part, LPC still splits at the spots where there used to be a green line.
Hopefully my questions are clear and somebody would like to take the time to answer these
Thanks!

OMR + TEXMAPped unofficial file = ??? |

OMR specification requires to include unofficial files (a very good thing!), but what to do when this unofficial part contains TEXMAP images? Can we imagine a way to include these images in MPD? How to make this compatible with applications that support TEXMAP (afaik LDView, LDCad, LeoCAD and Bricksmith)?
And a 2016 good new year's resolution: have TEXMAP images on Parts Tracker !
