  11055 Flag 2 x 2 Square [Thick Clips]
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2020-04-24, 14:38 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (1)

For reference:
https://rebrickable.com/parts/11055/flag...ick-clips/

Is this a variation we care about or should I tell Rebrickable to use 2335?

Note: Bricklink doesn't differentiate.

  LDD data to DAT
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2020-04-22, 21:42 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (4)

I seem to recall a tutorial that was written (by Philo?) on how to process the LDD mesh data into a part for the PT. My Google fu has failed me in finding it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

  Envelope pattern.

Bricklink thinks these are 2 different patterns. I'm leaning that way but I'm not entirely convinced that the differences are meaningful. Thoughts?

Modular Buildings Missing Parts (with links!)
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2020-04-21, 20:32 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (13)

So I got bored of my usual activity of making OMR files and decided to catalog all the missing parts needed for the current slate of Modular Buildings. If you're bored and want a part to work on, here's a good place to start:

List is through 10264 Assembly Square.

The list of needed parts for 10270 (Bookshop) can be found here: https://forums.ldraw.org/thread-23853.html

  Minifig Head patten preferred practice
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2020-04-21, 16:49 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (2)

What's the current preferred practice for minifg head patterns?
1. Head on shot, make the pattern, and then project it using Philo's tool
2. Try to "unfold" the pattern, make it, and then "refold" it to the head subfile

  Pneumatic tubes
Posted by: Johann Eisner - 2020-04-21, 7:44 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (5)

Philo has already drawn a lot of pneumatic tubes for use in the PLI of LPub3D and uploaded them to the PartsTracker.
For a MOC I need some that are not yet available. For example 11L and 12L.
Since these are relatively simple, I would like to submit them later.
Now to my question: According to which scheme are the tubes named?
I don't see any connection.

  Problem exporting model to ldd
Posted by: Moe - 2020-04-20, 22:27 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (27)

I'm making a Lego robot arm build guide in LDCad. But being a novice, I accidentally created a sub-model within the main build window. My finished model is now saved as 'LDraw Multi-Part Project' instead of as an LDraw file(*.ldr). I found my mistake after many hours of build when I finally tried to export my build guide to Lego Digital Designer, as it is the format I was expected to submit. When I try to import this file to Lego Digital Designer(LDD), LDD only looks for *.ldr files only. I want to save my sub-model as main model in LDCad with all the steps I used to create it. A search on the internet hasn't helped me find solutions. I really don't want to go back to the drawing board and spend many hours I barely have on building it again. Can anyone help?
