  The rubber die
Posted by: Magnus Forsberg - 2020-01-26, 10:39 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (4)

Why is the rubber die missing colour?
Part 64776 is "Die 6 Sided 2 x 2 x 2 with Rubber Black Frame" but it is missing all colours.

We had a Physical coloured shortcut adding both Rubber_Black and Red, and it is now obsoleted.

If we add colour in 64776 shouldn't it be 64776p01?

  AIOI request
Posted by: Michael Horvath - 2020-01-24, 20:52 - Forum: All Other Programs. - Replies (2)

Please, if you could make it possible to NOT install LDView by default that would be great, as I use the development version on GitHub.

Also, please add a way to cancel uninstallation before it starts. Right now, it immediately uninstalls all the programs without a way to back out. Ideally, I could also pick which applications I want to modify/uninstall, but that might be asking too much.

Thanks.

  Split surface on line
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2020-01-23, 16:09 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (10)

I'm sure there's a simple way to do this but I don't know how in LDPE:

How do I split the quads and triangles along the bottom green line?

  Different Stud Text
Posted by: Gerald Lasser - 2020-01-22, 23:31 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (4)

There is a thread on the LEGO-logo modeling but one thing I could not find there:

There are studs that read "LEGO" and there are studs that read "SCALA" (I found some more crazy parts, like the Scala Baseplate and Supports...)

How is e.g. LDView (or LDPE) deciding what to put on top of a stud? Are they only looking for a "stud.dat"?

How can they forced to pick another logo? Of course it must be another name for the stud, but is this assignment in the code or in a config file?

I modeled the SCALA text and redid the (solid) Scala studs as there are three different ones. In the picture I added the text manually.

Script to generate random parts in LDCad
Posted by: Jaco van der Molen - 2020-01-22, 11:44 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (5)

Hi all,

For a MOC I have to simulate a kind of landscaping rough soil-like.
I am looking for a way in LDCad to make something like this with a script.

With it, you should be able to specify dimensions (in this case 8x8), what bricks to use (plates, tiles, etc.) and colors (like LBG, tan, white, ...)
Would that be possible?

  MLCad.ini 2019-03 update now available
Posted by: Willy Tschager - 2020-01-22, 10:46 - Forum: LDraw.org Announcements - No Replies

Hi folks,

I just updated the MLCad.ini file accordingly to the latest LDraw.org parts update 2019-03. The .ini file defines (among other things) the parts available in MLCad's, LEOCad's and Bricksmith's minifigure generator.

Download the file from my website: http://www.holly-wood.it/mlcad/mlcad_ini-en.html

Bye, w.

  65217 + 65209 for Set 60243
Posted by: Johann Eisner - 2020-01-20, 18:45 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (1)

My son got this set for Christmas, so I want to draw it for the OMR.
These two parts are completely new, but don't seem to be that complicated. (Except for me ;-))
If more photos are needed, no problem.

Thanks!

Edit:
There are more new parts. Angry

But these are more complicated. :-(
