I'm starting to rethink my design philosophy regarding how I put together a model for the OMR. Currently I name things by step number (e.g. step45.ldr) or an appropriate noun name and step if there are multiple sections that start with step one (e.g. book1-step5.ldr). Since I've now run into multiple instruction sets where even LEGO can't keep the step numbers consistent, I'm thinking about abandoning the step numbering system and instead focus on submodeling to make positioning movable elements easier. Maybe not even include steps at all?

How does everyone else go about organizing their submodels? Do you put instruction steps in?

I am quite sure that I recently replied to a topic that involved updating the unofficial parts library in LPub3D.
But I can not find the thread anywhere, even if I search in the User CP under my comments, I can not find it.
Can this be due to the downgrading of a SteerCo to a "normal" user?

First of all, let me say that I admire your work a great deal and I appreciate everything you have done to improve Lego CAD. I am working on a brick game and need to determine connection information on my LDraw models. 

What are the guidelines for using the shadow files for part snapping in my own commercial LDraw application? 

Also, is there an update on including this or some other connection information library as an LDraw standard specification? It seems to me that connection data should have been included as standard a long time ago. 

Furthermore, is there any other open source connection information library that is available for commercial use that you are aware of?

Currently I've been using Buf3D+ on my Google Pixel 2 XL but I was curious to know if LDraw team has any plans to release a dedicated mobile client in near future.

n00b here, please excuse me if this post is in the incorrect forum. I've searched a good bit but have not found an answer.

My son is just getting to learn computers and he loves Lego, so I searched and found LDraw.
I downloaded the All in One, then installed pretty much everything on his computer.

After setting the search/library paths official location to c\users\public\documents\ldraw\parts on his machine, when using LDCad the parts are not all there. They sort of render in bits and pieces... sometimes the full part. Just talking about simple bricks.

However, following the same pattern on my computer, I'm able to see all of the parts, just fine.

I tried an uninstall / reinstall on his machine, but the problem persists. 

I would be very grateful for any suggestions that could help me.

Hej there,
while going through the stickers for reviewing them, I run in the following problem: Some stickers are described like "... on [Colour] Background" and some "... on [Colour]".
I'm not sure if need the word Background in the description or not. Could we discuss how it should be done and add this to the sticker specs, please?
