I love LDCad's mirroring feature but it doesn't work with subfiles. I understand why that is but can we have some sort of (togglable?) feature that just mirrors the matrix, inverts the sign of the position for mirrored axis, and I'll handle the rest (i.e. actually creating a mirrored subfile)?

Hello, I loaded Lego models into LDView 4.3 and exported them as POV-Ray files. I noticed that some colors are displayed incorrectly in POV-Ray. I haven't found a way to adjust the colors. In the following picture, the output of LDView can be seen in the upper part, saved as a PNG file, and in the lower part the representation in PovRay. There are particularly large deviations in the transparent colors. Am I doing something wrong or how can I adjust the colors?

Unfortunately I couldn't find them in digitalbricks, but I hope they are in Unity package (I haven't checked yet).

I installed unity and the lego minigame a few weeks ago but it ran very slow even on a ryzen 7 so I removed everything but kept the unity parts library.

Then, a few days ago I was looking at the duplo track in LDRAW and remember when I had some when I was young so I decided to make a large scale train track MOC out of duplo track but with a lego system train riding on it somehow and the duplo track be surrounded by normal lego system.

I have the straight track, curved track, and junction with switch in ldraw so it would be cool if there was some way to export the parts: Duplo Bridge Upper, and Duplo bridge Lower from the unity library into LDRAW becase those parts have gear strips on them to prevent the train from rolling back down the incline and I need to either find a way to use technic teeth to mesh with those rear strips or use rubber tyres hidden by regular lego train wheels.

I see the following files: 6393.xml and 35136.xml but sadly no 6393.fbx and 35136.fbx.

I'm not sure if thats a problem or no, I would try just seeing if the parts actualy show up in unity but unity got uninsalled.

I also dont have blender and a load of other tools needed to convert the files. making those parts from scratch is probably not easy at all so i'm not gonna ask for that much

Using LDCad 1.6d I am trying to wrap a chain around gears. I am using Roland's rubber band and pipe tutorials but I hit a few problems.

First, the 40 link chain loop, in the three gear configuration (3 gear image). When I try to wrap it around the far away small gear by reducing the perimeter, as I did with the rubber band tutorial, it actually changes the size of the links (scale down?). On the same project, I have no clue (no really!!) how to wrap the chain inside the middle gear as the red lines indicate in the image with the 3 gears.
On the second test I try to use multiple 5 link chain segments to complete the loop. I manage to orient a few of them around the big gear but I got stuck wrapping one of the segments to the small gear. Image with 2 gears.

I have also attached the actual ldr files. NikosSprocket.ldr has 2 gears configuration and the other one has the 3 gears configuration.

Any suggestions/tutorials etc. most appreciated.

Hi,
my name is Nils ans I started building with LDCad some days ago.

The software is really cool and nice to use but I have trouble with adding additional parts.

I want to build a steam locomotive with wheels from Big Ben Bricks.

As some of you know, BBB is offering .dat files for each wheel design to use them in LDraw.

It is no problem to load the models in LDCad and have a look at them, but I have trouble to insert them in the Part bin.

I read trough Roland Melkerts webpage but it seems like I can´t find the procedure.

I copied the files from BBB into the "c:/users/puplic/public documents/ldraw/unoffical/parts" folder and added this path in the parts find configuration in LDCad.

I tried it over and over but the wheels won´t show up in the Part bin 

Where would they normally show up ? Do i have to tell LDCad "somehow" else about the parts ?
