Question Triangular Prism With 3 Faces Without 5 Edges - any demand?

Is there any demand for this primitive? It could be useful in some parts.

Hey, this part was recently introduced this year. I look forward to having it added to your database and being able to use it in BrickLink Studio soon.

  Auto Zoom potential issues
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2024-01-27, 14:42 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (5)

While generating images for the PT, I've noticed that sometimes LDView's auto zoom results in some of the part being cropped. Here's an example:

I can post the LDView.ini the PT is using if needed.

Part request: Helicopter windscreen from 60405
Posted by: Sebastian Palm - 2024-01-26, 21:48 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (2)

As it turns out, the only piece I had to substitute in the new rescue helicopter (60405) was the windscreen, and I'd really rather have the actual part, if anyone has the skills to make it since I don't...

Not a whole lot of links to give since it's a brand new part, but brickowl has it here:

https://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-wi...t-out-5274

As "Lego Windscreen 6 x 8 x 2 with cut-out 5274".

In the instruction book, the specific number for the windscreen piece in trans-light-blue is 6465637.

  [LDPatternCreator] Primitive mode not working
Posted by: Chris Böhnke - 2024-01-26, 20:48 - Forum: Parts Author Tools - Replies (4)

Hello everyone,

I need to place a disc+ndis primitive on a 3626b head.

I tried doing this by Add Primitive [F7] > LDraw Primitive > Circular Disc Sector > 4-4disc.dat

The 'Set primitive origin' dialogue appears and I can select some point (the disc's midpoint I assume?) but as soon as I click, the dialogue disappears and nothing happens at all.

I tried to reset my LDraw path, reinstalled the latest version (1.7.3), but nothing changes.

Forum and Google search yielded no answer, but the implication that you can place primitives in that way (?).

What am I doing wrong?

LDCad template for Cable Flexible 20L with 2 Bar Connectors and Bar Segments (2630)
Posted by: Philippe Hurbain - 2024-01-26, 16:20 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - No Replies

I'm currently building the Viking Village model (set 21343) so I created the template for 2630 flexible cable with bar segments. Attached below, as well as LDCad connectivity files needed to attach things to the cable.
The unofficial parts are available here: https://library.ldraw.org/search/part?s=2630+cable

Contributing OMR models. Where to start?
Posted by: Andy H - 2024-01-26, 11:42 - Forum: Help - No Replies

Hi,

I love creating digital Lego sets and this site is an excellent resource for that. Huge thanks to all the contributors  Big Grin

I know there are still models missing from the OMR and I would like to help fill those gaps. The problem I have is that i only have experience with stud.io.

I am happy to learn how to use another program but which one is the best to use in relation to getting the best models for OMR?

Is there a getting started tutorial?

Just looking for tips and best practices really. I normally just use stud.io to import an official Lego set, then save as .io and render it.

Thanks in advance, keen to get started  Smile
Andy
