Introducing LDCad |

Hello all,
I'm very proud to (finally) present my new LDraw editor called LDCad.
It's a grid based editor (like MLCad is) but with modern rendering and (hopefully) some additional editing features which should make things easier.
Long story short, check "LDCad 1.0 beta 1" out here:
http://www.melkert.net/LDCad
Hope you like it and don't hold back on comments / requests etc.

Isecalc and Rectifier updated |

Isecalc (now version 1.4) and Rectifier (version 1.6) have been updated to use dynamic memory management. The size of files they can manage is now limited only by your PC memory. Or more probably by your patience...
Isecalc line condensation method was also improved to avoid the tiny line segments that previous version often produced.

Proposed change to the LSC charter |

I'd like to discuss changing the LSC charter to reserve a member seat for the current LDraw.org Library Admin. I think it's vital that this position (currently Chris Dee for quite some time) be active in the LSC and have voting power. Thoughts?

I'll be keeping an up to date list of nominated LSC candidates here using the responses from the nominations thread. Remember there are five positions to fill. If you'd like to self-nominate but don't want to actually self-nominate message me in private with details of your eligibility and I'll see what I can do.
Status as follows:- Travis Cobbs (accepted)
- Allen Smith (accepted)
- Roland Melkert (accepted)
- Chris Dee (accepted)
- Willy Tschager (accepted)
- Tim Gould (declined)
- Philippe Hurbain (declined)
- Orion Pobursky (declined)

cannot display nested thread view when not logged in |

Hi,
is there a possibility to see a thread with all its posts in nested form for not not-logged-in users?
I know this feature when being logged in,
but I wanted to send a link to a not-logged-in user,
pointing him to a thread, and all I managed to do was sending him a link
to the first post. This made it very difficult for him to catch up / understand
the discussion. Better would have been a link which directly displays a whole thread
in nested form, like it is possible when logged in.
Can we do something on the server to enable this feature also for not logged-in users?

New LDraw viewer for iOS and Beta test. |

I am posting for two reasons. One, to let you know about a new LDraw viewer for the iOS platform called ogld. Second, I'm looking for beta testers.
Hardware requirements are an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad running iOS version 4.3 or above.
If you would like to participate in the beta test, please respond in kind to [email protected], and I'll send you details on signing up so that you can have access to the app builds.
Thanks in advance,
Ken Drew
