I'll be keeping an up to date list of nominated LSC candidates here using the responses from the nominations thread. Remember there are five positions to fill. If you'd like to self-nominate but don't want to actually self-nominate message me in private with details of your eligibility and I'll see what I can do.
is there a possibility to see a thread with all its posts in nested form for not not-logged-in users?
I know this feature when being logged in,
but I wanted to send a link to a not-logged-in user,
pointing him to a thread, and all I managed to do was sending him a link
to the first post. This made it very difficult for him to catch up / understand
the discussion. Better would have been a link which directly displays a whole thread
in nested form, like it is possible when logged in.
Can we do something on the server to enable this feature also for not logged-in users?
I am posting for two reasons. One, to let you know about a new LDraw viewer for the iOS platform called ogld. Second, I'm looking for beta testers.
Hardware requirements are an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad running iOS version 4.3 or above.
If you would like to participate in the beta test, please respond in kind to [email protected], and I'll send you details on signing up so that you can have access to the app builds.
finally, after near six month of nothing, a new release of my application is available.
Among its new features:
- Support for simplified racks mechanism (where a rotation axle is coaxial to gear)
- Support for suspensions (still not the spring)
- Support for Linear Actuators
- The Animation Console that allows you to create a console with your model animations starting points and
animating it in a 'real way'
- Support for reciprocal animation referred to a block to be considered fixed
Fixed hang when deleting parts by dragging them out of the window
Fixed parsing problems when opening files which do not terminate with 0 FILE
Disallow the insertion of circular submodel references
Fixed bug in which newly-opened document windows did not automatically become the main window
Fixed unexpected viewing angle reset when inserting parts during step display mode
Undo works when the Part Browser and Rotate panels are open
Bricksmith 2.5.1 includes a potpourri of bug fixes and small requested features for your enjoyment. It also includes significant under-the-hood changes. Let me know if you find any new bugs.
Bricksmith requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later, and may be download it at <http://bricksmith.sourceforge.net/>. It is still both Intel and PowerPC native. I have not run into any problems on Lion either.
I'd like to include some official sets in the next AIOI release. I therefore created to example files compliant to the Official Model Repository (OMR) Specification Version 1.0.0. I would appreciate if someone could cross check the work I've done. Thx,
w.
PS. Strangely these files won't work in LPub refusing to create BIs for the subfiles.

I am working on General Grievous minifig. And I have a problem.
1. How calculate angle of clips, to replace them with primitives.
2. What primitives will be better to use.
As far as I can tell, posts to the "General LDraw.org Discussion" forum don't produce the red "n New Posts" text in the main forum view. I don't think I've ever even looked in that forum due to the fact that I only click on forums that have the new posts message. When I looked today, I saw 9 threads, all of which were in bold (indicating I haven't viewed them).
I need help to fix a problem in Lpub.
In my main model, I call two times a submodel. The second time it appears correctly, but the first time it doesn't appear. In fact it appears but only a few steps later after a model rotation.
In the same main model, I call two times another submodel, and it works fine !
I don't understand what happen. I tried to delete the submodel and to re-create it, but the problem is still there.
Is there anybody who have already seen that ? or know what I could have done wrong ?
There's a post in announcements about LSC nominations, but it contains the following text:
Willy Tschager Wrote:Nominations MUST be posted in direct reply to this post to be counted, and must be online by 12:00 PM GMT November 14.
The language was obviously copied from previous nominations, which were done on LUGNET, but since the Announcements forum doesn't allow replies, it needs to be modified.
