Is there a temporary pause in Part Tracker submits at the moment? When will it pass?

LDraw.org 2025-04 Parts Update Now Available
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2025-04-27, 7:17 - Forum: LDraw.org Announcements - Replies (1)

The 2025-04 LDraw Parts Update has been released. This update adds 189 new files to the core library, including 129 new parts and 10 new primitives.

I will note that there are about 7700 parts in this update that have had some minor edits to KEYWORDS, CATEGORY, or LICENSE.

Thanks are due to all the part authors who created or corrected parts for this release. The small, but dedicated, band of reviewers also play an important role in keeping files moving through the Parts Tracker and deserve just as much credit. This update wouldn't have been possible without their dedication and attention to detail.

You can preview the new parts in 2025-04 here, and download the zip-file update or Windows install package here.

Thank you to all the testers and parts authors who continue giving feedback on the PT software. This project would not be what it is without your help.

  LdrawLoader based program
Posted by: Brickboy22 - 2025-04-26, 22:43 - Forum: All Other Programs. - Replies (2)

Warning to all viewing thread - this project is in beta - lots of issues and bugs everywhere.

Hi all. I recently started working on a ThreeJS/LdrawLoader based webapp after putting it off for some time. It's called Gr8brik. It's exactly what it sounds like.
I have to admit that I've only been doing ThreeJS for less than a year, same with LdrawLoader. I discovered Ldraw three years ago - and since I've liked it. I've also liked things like Mecabricks, which is why I've decided to "combine" the two in a way - all I can say is making this has been fun.

Note there is loads and loads of bugs, and I plan to rewrite multiple things. Also this isn't a complete alternative to things that already exist, ofc Bricklink Studio is going to be better than this.

Also - you're free to look at the source code - just be aware it's very messy and uses some hacks to get things working.

How to obtain subrange of ovoid
Posted by: Peter Blomberg - 2025-04-26, 11:59 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (1)

1 16 -29.3636 0 95.0925 74 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 -85 48\1-8edge.dat

Considering the above curve, it starts from right and proceeds clockwise 6 out of 48 segments. The x and z radiuses are different.
How do I obtain a curve with segments 2 to 6, i.e. without segment 1?

Rotating the above by one 16th rotates also the ovoid, not just the "selection".

Part request 5649 Brick, Round Corner 4 x 4 with Slope 45 Edge without Studs please
Posted by: Peter Grass - 2025-04-25, 20:17 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (3)

Part 5649 from 2024 is now in 6 sets including the new T-rex and LOTR Shire sets, so it would be nice if it could be added please.

Rebrickable has pics of the underside of it if needed in the more photos section:

It is also probably in the lego builder app I would imagine.

  Duplo 65110
Posted by: Peter Blomberg - 2025-04-24, 16:11 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (1)

I made the attached draft, but it shows my limits in making an accurate model of all the curvature on this part. It has far too many flat surfaces. The real part is much more round on the cushion part. I inlined subfiles. The current draft uses the s\65109s01.dat subfile for the underside, but it is rather different from the real part. Is this draft worth the dust bin or can you suggest how to improve it?

  Official Part Fixes
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2025-04-22, 20:20 - Forum: Parts Tracker Discussion - No Replies

A general reminder that all official part fixes on the PT are fair game for anyone to edit. There is no exclusivity like new parts.

Also, unless it's a complete rewrite that follows the rules of rewrites, the Author: line must remain the same.

All existing history is also to remain the same and unaltered without explanation.

New function in the Parts Tracker
Posted by: Manfred Schaefer - 2025-04-22, 16:43 - Forum: Parts Tracker Discussion - Replies (4)

Hello,

In response to a comment in the Parts Tracker requesting the Bricklink reference, I received a response that the remaining references would be added automatically.
My questions now are: Are only the links added to the Parts Tracker, or are they also entered in the keywords?
If I publish a part with pattern, should it only have the Rebrickable reference?
If I also add the Bricklink reference, will it be overwritten?

Regards

Manfred
