First, it seem odd that this is a new part. I swear I've seen it before.

Second, it is very clearly a patterned version of 3004 but Rebrickable and Brickset have it with a unique part number. Bricklink doesn't seem to list it at all. What should submit it as, 45329 or 3004pXX. Also, is Brick 1 x 2 with 24 Medium Stone Rectangles too generic?

Third, avoiding T-junctions is impossible without using a crazy amount of very thin triangles.

I'd like to resurrect the Model/Scene/Part of the Month Contest and replace the "News" box on the front page with it. I think I'd like to start with Model of the Month, see how that goes, and expand from there. Thoughts?

1986-1987 Technic sets

I'm trying to create instructions in LPub3D (2.3.3) that will allow colors to be interpreted when output on a black & white (grayscale) printer. Can you offer advice, or does a guide already exist? I'm open to using a program other than LPub3D if it would be better, but I'm on macOS (10.11 El Capitan) so my choices are more limited.

For example, I would like to add the name of a color next to each part — or a color code — so when I'm reading my printed instructions, I can determine the part's color. Even seeing the color info on the BOM would be useful. 

I am able to print color codes next to parts in BrickLink Studio, but I'd like to adopt a tool that works more closely with LDraw.

The old thread is getting cluttered so I'll recap what's going on here:

What has been done:
- I think layout is principally complete. I've converted some of the articles (read non-homepage) to use the new theme.
- The article and menu hierarchy has been overhauled
- I slightly modified the parts update table tag


What needs to be done:
- I need a new "Parts Update" image. This image will be the default image displayed for a parts update unless or until an update specific image is made. This is the major thing holding up switching over to the new homepage design.
- There is a bug in the menu shown for computers. Third level articles are not displaying in the menu. The tablet/mobile menu is unaffected.
- Custom styling. Right now I'm using the default styling for the web framework in use. While I think the default styling is fine, I'd like to change that to be able to use a custom styling for components if we so choose. I have to figure out a way to do this while also maintaining the ability to edit the design from within the CMS.

As always, I want as many users as possible to be satisfied with the results. I'm open to suggestions, mild complaints that offer solutions, and requests.

P.S. We are not keeping the old design. It was a spaghetti mess of different blocks of code that has been following us since we switched to CMSMS almost 10 years ago. A house cleaning was sorely needed.

Whats the different between this two parts 6239 and 43218 (Except the printing).
Need we a new part (43218.dat) an alias to 6239.dat ?

I think we need to have a discussion on how detailed the fallback for a TEXMAP part need to be.

My opinion:
The TEXMAP standard has be out for 6 years. All actively developed LDraw editors support it and any new one's can't call themselves LDraw.org compatible unless they do. I don't think we should require any patterned fallback detail except to complete the geometry of a part.

The PT is rejecting my reviews when I post from iOS Safari (and maybe iOS in general, I didn't test the other browsers). It seems that apostrophe character is the problem.
