  Cannot edit links on wiki.ldraw.org
Posted by: Travis Cobbs - 2018-09-04, 20:05 - Forum: Website Suggestions/Requests/Discussion - Replies (4)

After getting a report from a user, I tried to fix LDView's website link on its LDraw Wiki Page (since I moved it from sourceforge to github), but this simply resulted in the following after I checked the Captcha box:

Side note: I couldn't find any obvious way on the LDraw Wiki itself to "please inform an administrator". Maybe I'm just blind.

  LDCAD compass location
Posted by: Kathleen Kampf - 2018-09-03, 19:34 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (20)

Is there a way to change the location of the compass in LDCAD? It is under my parts bin. I would like to move it to the right. It was there after it was first installed. Somehow it got moved and so did the parts bin. I got the parts bin back but it's in the way.

Set lattitude and longitude for assebly in LPub
Posted by: Jaco van der Molen - 2018-09-02, 19:51 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (2)

Hi all,

Would it be possible some how to set a default lattitude and longitude for the assembly images in LPub? Alas set the default viewing angle.
One can set it this up for PLI and BOM images.

I know how to do it with rotation steps, but that is kind of hideous when you use lots of submodels and other necessary rotations.

Thanks.

Jaco

Information Help?
Posted by: Christian Murray - 2018-08-31, 21:32 - Forum: General LDraw.org Discussion - Replies (11)

When I try to open LDraw on the latest version of Windows 7, this error appears:

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

Any help? (I'm a 64-bit user.)
Many thanks.

  Login wierdness
Posted by: David Manley - 2018-08-31, 0:06 - Forum: General LDraw.org Discussion - Replies (3)

As an FYI, for the last 24 hours I have been unable to login. Despite my user id and password being correct, it would display a message about an authentication issue. I don't have the exact text of the error message to hand.

Over the space of about 12 hours, I tried 3 or 4 times to use the "Forgot password" link. Although I followed the steps that were indicated, the (temporary) new password which was assigned failed to log me in. Finally I have been able to login today with the temporary password assigned to me 19 hours ago which did not work yesterday.

Yes I have fat fingers but I do not believe that was the cause of the issue. Someone may want to check if something untoward has been happening. Needless to say, I could not login to post a message to say that I could not login!

  Big Studless Tractor 8859
Posted by: Helge Myhre - 2018-08-27, 12:04 - Forum: MOCs (My Own Creations) - No Replies

I have made a studless tractor nr 8859 made by lego in 1981. Mine is much bigger but has the same look. It has many extra funtions like 4wd/2wd, four Wheel steering, differential locks, V8motor, alt much more. The original from 1981 had 614 parts but mine has 1409 parts    Smile

  LDView problems
Posted by: Knud Ahrnell Albrechtsen - 2018-08-27, 7:20 - Forum: All Other Programs. - Replies (7)

Hi

I have discovered a problem while upgrading from LDView 4.2 to LDView 4.4
When exporting to POV-Ray from LDView 4.4 the colors looks bad.
I have exported with the same settings in 4.2 and 4.4 below.
Here is the resulting Renders.
Anyone know why the colors look so bad when exporting from LDView 4.4?
and what can I do to fix this??
