Decals and Stickers in a more mainstream format

Decals and Stickers in a more mainstream format

Does anyone know of a repo of minifigure decals in a useable format like .png?

I've been working on a fan game for some time and I'm trying to get character customization going. Ideally I would have a folder full of all the decals for the torso, legs, face etc. which I can map onto the player model with shaders, but I cant find a reliable method to grab the images from the Ldraw files or Studio. I took a dive into the .dats and couldn't see any light at the end of that tunnel.

The only method that has worked has been to export from MecaBricks into blender, which gives a great map like the one attached, but I'll be damned if I have to do that 100s of times over with varying results.

Any help on this would be much appreciated, I have something cooking and it's going to be hot.

Most prints of minifigures are actually included in the geometry of the model and are not availabe in an image format.

Yeah I've been trying to find a way to decode them but thought I would see if anybody on the forum has done it already. I got a response on reddit from someone who made a system to translate the vectors from the .dat into an image for their project, I'm going to dive into the documentation today and see how I could do the same. I'm not too put off by the maths and comp sci of it, but working with vectors and images in general is new territory, so it's a little intimidating haha

LDView and other programs will export PNG images of the current scene. This might be more manual-intensive than you're looking for, but you could theoretically open the LDraw files at a consistent viewing angle and export clean images that way.
