No, you have to add control points and adjust stiffness sliders to get the right shape. I think you can get a convincing shape with only 3 control points (one at each end with the right angle, one horizontal in the middle). How do I add a third control point? The rope I created seems to only have two.

I've been watching this video, but there's no audio, so I have no idea what's going on.
