Parts we are Working on - Part Deux
I'm just going to give a little bump to the Model Team type 1 rim that I started. It's still a "part I am working on" and I still "anticipate reworking it some", but it may be a while, and if anyone else wanted to have a look over it in the meantime, that would be fine, too.
I uploaded some of them already and now adding finishing touches to the missing ones. THe only one not pictured here is the 65146, the turntable-clip to fasten the strap with the new rounded bricks.
I notices that on all the product pictures the strap is shown with the dents hidden, am I the only one who thinks they should be shown?
The transparent lid of the box shows somehow the need for some surface properties, the window is clear, the sides are rough.

If anybody has details on the slope (which I loosely modeled after the 1 x 10 Curved slope) I apprechiate a hi res scan or orthogonal picture!
It is a nice challenge for Pathtruder Always fun to tweak the start and end shapes.
Ulrich uploaded it already. so I compared both. Amazing similar curvature :-)
What did you use to get it Ulrich? Pathtruder?

no ... I have an older student version of Cinema 4D available .... It's fantastic how everything goes from hand to hand.
Via conversion stl or a plugin for complete parts also in all colors (the last mentioned unfortunately ONLY for import).
The mesh control function is more than ingenious ... color-coded ...
for all matters (unfortunately except for lines type 2 and 5)
After converting back to dat ... handwork is the order of the day to bring in our primitives as much as possible.
I took over the longitudinal division of the Z axis from a part of Paul Easter ... Set all points of the Z axis bend to zero
... (certified in the year of the Lord 2013) ....
... the x-axis via the rounding of the hires version of 37352, dat
... our "spaghetti" is simple on the round nose.
Cinema 4D has a dimension function for paths ... so you can simply mark all points and put them on a previously measured diagonal line path ...
More than just desirable to have such a function in LDPE!
a "frame" of polygons created by hand .... the rest can be done with a click on "autofill" ...
something else great for LDPE ..... autofill
BTW:
Please call me Uli ..... Ulrich is only for potential enemies and the tax office .... but well .... that's almost the same ...
If nobody started to work on 36452 I'll do it soon!

Dual Moulded Speed Champion wheels? Did not expect such a thing in this series.
I got one of those Mickey Sets, there are also dual molded wheels in there... Not really a fan of this
I did it!

It took some time 'til I figured out the most convenient way to do the outside wall after finding out that the LDD data was of no use.

I'm working on the wings for the LOTR eagle 11467
I have the wings ready, 11777 and 11778, but there seams to be a mix-up between left and right at Bricklink and in LDD.
Brickset have only the design numbers, not the part number.
11777 = is right wing at Bricklink, but is left wing in LDD, but the name in LDD is "Eagle Wing Right". Very confusing.
Anyone have the wings and could check the numbers?

Here you see the right wing number, looks like 11777

It may not be obvious, but most of the images in the article are 1200x900 resolution, even when they are shown much smaller inline in the article. If you right click on them and open in a new tab, you get a much better look.

I just had all look through some of the new friends sets, they come with plenty of new designs as well... Puh

Thanks for the video and the pool has been done!
Now I'm creating the pavement... not so technically challenging except surface stitch but there are hundreds of stones to be painted on every direction.
