Hello, everyone.
Yesterday I saw a post about Lego simple machinery, and in fact I needed some parts about Lego 45002. This is a list of parts I find first, and who can help me make these parts. Of course I know it will be a huge amount of work, and if you want, I can make it with building blocks. However, I need some tutorials on the network, because of the differences in language, I understand more slowly.

Unfortunately I have none of these parts, and some are fairly complex to build... Of course we can try to help you if you try to model them! Unfortunately LDPE is sorely missing good tutorials. Maybe this one can help http://jc-tchang.philohome.com/manuel/LDPartEditor.htm ? it's written in French, but hopefully Google translate can help on this...

Can I use SolidWorks or 3DMAX software to translate modeling into DAT format?

Sure stl2dat https://sourceforge.net/projects/stl2dat/ is your friend. Don't forget to model using LDUs rather than mm or inches.

If you don't like command line interface, you can also use LETGUI that includes Stl2Dat tool.
Also note that Stl2Dat works well only with ASCII stl files, not with binary stl variant.

Why flash back when I install?

You mean, stl2dat or letgui? stl2dat is a command line tool, expecting command line parameters. If it has no parameters, it (very) briefly pops up a help screen and closes. To use it you should open a command line prompt, then type in the command with its parameters. If the problem is with LETGUI... I don't know. Do you have .NET installed?

Then you must use a command line prompt. But it you are not comfortable with this, install LETGUI instead!
