I don't have the part, just follow the photo to modify the appearance from 64424 and 64420.
So, I'm not sure the screw was the correct size, and I don't know their part number, too...

Can I share these parts at Parts Tracker? How can I do?
And I also need to modify which contents of these part files?

It seems it's still somewhat unclear how to include unofficial parts in a OMR mpd, see:

It's unclear (jet somewhat implied imho) all the unofficial file's recursively used (also unofficial) files should be included in the mpd using the same prefix and as a result all the affected type 1 lines should be updated.

In the attached model, the red piece has the arrow pointing backward, and I'd like it pointing forward. Is it possible without creating a new part?

I could just multiply by "-1" the appropriate dimension, but that would be unphysical, causes problems in LDCad and would invert the stud logos in some case (in POV-Ray, for instance). It works with LDView, though.

I am still unhappy with subfiles in MPD files and what to do.

Example:
I have a file "testpart.dat" like this:
0 Testfile
0 Name: testpart.dat
1 16 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 3001.dat
1 16 0 32 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 s\testparts.dat

"testparts.dat" like this:
0 Testfile subfile blue
0 Name: s\testparts.dat
1 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 3001.dat

If I put the testparts.dat in a subfolder relative to the folder where testpart.dat resists I see with MLCad and LDView both parts.

Now I open testpart.dat in MLCad.
After that I import testparts.dat.
I save that content in the new file testpart.mpd

I would expect that I can now give this testpart.mpd to another user and that he can see what I have build, but that is not the case.
If I open the file from another location on my system MLCad claims "File s\testparts.dat not found! Continue loading?"
After I answered yes only the main color brick has been displayed.
One more bad thing with MLCad - if you export the files ("Multipart" - "Export Models...") the reference "s\testparts.dat" is changed to "Unknown".

With this behaviour it is impossible with the current tools to show the complete model direct out of the MPD file nor to export all files in a good shape.

For this reason I have in MPDCenter implemented a full export of the files in the correct foldertree and then all is shown correctly.

BUT MPDCenter is not designed as a viewer tool (build in viewer is ldvlib.dll).

To have also good experience with LDView I suggest to also implement something that avoid these mistakes.

Or, if we want to do it completely different, we need to forbit subparts to be in the MPDfiles. This can be archieved by changing all references to those subparts and delete the leading "s\".
But then one problem still remains - '48\' primitives. We can not just cut the 48 away, because then we have a different part (16').

Any other thoughts on this?

Hi all,

I've tried fixing the part 2515 (Wheel Hard-Plastic Large), which is currently on hold, but I've ended up rewriting some of it. There are still some things that could be fixed (I believe some quads in the tread are not quite planar, and there's some overlapping), but I think it looks pretty good now, except that I have no real piece to compare with.

Should I upload it now? As an update to the current 2515 or as a new submission?

For the program MPDCenter I needed a list of possible values for the !THEME entry.

I have build that list (also attached) from a list from Bricklink.

I feel this list should be maintained on ldraw.org like the categories.

A new version of BrickPad is available in the App Store. Here is a short list of what has changed:

- Parts of the step are listed in a bubble (iPad only, for now).
- Added the ability to view a parts list for the model (network connection required).
- Added a Model Inspector to view various info about the model.
- Support for the LDraw WRITE/PRINT command.
- Swipe left or right to go to previous or next building step.
- Other improvements and enhancements.
- iOS 6 bug fixes.

The 75174p01c01.dat - Animal Dragon Oriental w. Chr.Gold Head and Tr.Red Wings (Comp.) makes use of 30130.dat an alias of 6133.dat - Animal Dragon Wing, causing an error when the Alias library isn't installed. This should be corrected in the next release.

75174c01.dat - Animal Dragon with Red Wings (Complete) is fine.

Relative complex object which fits in a volume of about 20 x 20 x 20 cm

Building this object from Lego in a scale of 1:2.5 (volume about 50 x 50 x 50 cm) using MLCad, LDView and LPub

Possible Solution
(1) Scanning the object
(2) Scaling Scan Data (1:2.5) and saving as object.stl File
(3) Converting object.stl to object.dat using program STL2DAT
(4) Integrating object.dat in LDraw Library (under Models)
(5) Temporary mod of LDConfig.ldr by adding a more transparent color "Trans_Clear_Clear" (just done)
(6) Positioning object.dat in MLCad and assigning the new transparency "Trans_Clear_Clear"
(7) Building the model inside the transparent envelope with best fit (checking with LDView)

Need Help
(1) I do not own a Laser Scanner and 123D does not delivery usable results so the object has to be scanned by a external Scan Service. What have I to observe placing the order ?
(2) What do you think - would the relatively old program STL2DAT be able to convert the STL file delivered by such a Scan Service using modern hard- and software ? I do not really understand the options I have to use with STL2DAT - how can I find out best values ?
(3) I added the more transparent color "Trans_Clear_Clear" temporarily to LDConfig.ldr by copying existing definition for "Trans_Clear" and changing CODE to 48 (unused color) and ALPHA from 128 to 100. It seems for me that ALPHA is a measure for the transparency - what is the usable (allowed) range of this value ? (e.g. 64 does not work)

Hej,
for building the Pet-Shop (10218-1) i need the mentioned parts.
The Dog is available in LDD but I'm not good enough to convert it into a good .dat file. Of course I could start with the basics there but the we have another file on the PT which isn't perfect enough.

The bucket is missing in LDD, so I hope that somebody have this part. Otherwise I will buy it with my next Bricklink-Order and try to do it by myself.
