"LDraw forum" link on Parts Tracker page is broken
Posted by: Gianluca - 2019-02-15, 21:03 - Forum: Website Suggestions/Requests/Discussion - No Replies

Hi all,
I'm newbie and probably that's the reason I found that broken link that none of you needs to click anymore :-)
In the page http://www.ldraw.org/library/tracker/ in the sentence:

"To become authorized as an author you must first register with the LDraw.org Forum (it's free) and then.."

the link to the forum points to a non existing page. Maybe an old version of the forum ??

Cheers,
Gianluca.

Hello,

Could someone make this police torso.

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/cat...1#T=C&C=11

It is in LDD but I don't see it in LDRAW.

Thanks

  6228 - Dolphin
Posted by: Willy Tschager - 2019-02-14, 20:06 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (2)

I'm trying to fix:

http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cg.../6228b.dat

but I have no idea how the dolphin is connected (apparently not with studs):

In addition there are apparently two versions:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/cat...=6228b#T=C

Unfortunately the original file is no longer available. Suggestions?

What is the difference between the CADs in LDraw?
Posted by: Eric Fritsch - 2019-02-14, 1:47 - Forum: Help - Replies (1)

Hi!

Hopefully this is the right place to post this.
I have a project to start but I don't know where to start.  I downloaded LDraw and see that is has 3 different CAD programs in it.  LeoCAD, MLCad and LDCad.
I started playing around in LeoCAD but I am wondering what the difference between them are and what the advantages to each are.

For reference, I am trying to build out a minifig scale model of the car dealership I work for.  Hopefully they'll approve actually building it for display in the showroom.

Thanks in advance!

  LDCad on ChromeOS
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2019-02-13, 0:13 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (2)

With ChromeOSs new Linux app support, I decided to give LDCad a whirl. Downloaded and ran setup.sh. Installed gtk2 and glu but not sure I needed to. Started up fine but man is it slow. I plan to tinker some more to see if I can boost performance.

  Snow

You would think after 5 days of snow (which is insane for the Seattle area) that I would have finished a ton of projects. You would be wrong. Being trapped in a house with a toddler is anti-productive. Work is cancelled again tomorrow, wish me luck.

Cannot render the rubber band in LPub3D, any help ??
Posted by: El-Ashi - 2019-02-08, 12:03 - Forum: Rendering Techniques - Replies (16)

Hello Everybody,
I am a new user.

I am using LDCad to build my models and LPub3D to generate the building steps. Everything was working fine for me. But when I used the rubber band as sub-model in my model, I got this error while trying to render using LPub3D (Image is empty). It stuck on the rubber band step. The error screen shot is attached and the ldr file. Any help?
Thanks in Advance

  Egyptian headdress (90462b) pattern
Posted by: Orion Pobursky - 2019-02-05, 3:40 - Forum: Parts Tracker Discussion - Replies (7)

In reference to the discussion here:
http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cg...62bpq2.dat

As you can clearly see, the outer surfaces of this part are painted gold. There are other headdress patterns where the entire outer surfaces are not painted. I think we should have the new patterned part hard code the outer surfaces gold. Thoughts.

  Looking for wig 36105
Posted by: Jaco van der Molen - 2019-02-04, 8:57 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (1)

Hi all,

I am looking for this wig
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/cat...conly%22:0}
which does not yet exist officially or unoffically.

I cannot find it on Digital-bricks.de

According to various sources this is supposed to be part
6223009: Mini Doll, Wig, No. 28
(https://brickset.com/parts/design-36105)

Is it somewhere to be found?
