  Missing links on main page?
Posted by: Roland Melkert - 2021-06-18, 19:00 - Forum: Website Suggestions/Requests/Discussion - Replies (2)

The "Forum Contains New Posts" black dots are no longer clickable on the main forum page.

Just something I noticed (in seamonkey, but the html seems to be without links for real)

Thumbs Up looking for Bricklink part bb0219
Posted by: Ludo Soete - 2021-06-18, 10:21 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (5)

Hi,
I installed the latest ‘Complete’ library (Parts update 2020-03) and was looking for the following piece:
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/cat...9#T=C&C=85
But can’t find it back in the ‘MLCad – Other Parts\B’ folder, so I guess it’s not yet available in the official library or even not in the Non official parts list on LDraw.org.
Question is, if I want to create this part how should this part be named?

It’s a part that I use for my train wagons in use with the sealed magnet.
So far it’s the only use I found to use this ‘bar / pin’, because the bottom ‘ring’ is too small for a tight fit between 4 studs like you can do with an antenna.

see picture in following link for the principe I use.

best regards,
Ludo

  Strange line artifact part 57783?
Posted by: Jaco van der Molen - 2021-06-17, 14:04 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (7)

While making a model using part 57783.dat in transparent I noticed a strange reddish line artifact when looking at it a certain angle (in LDCad).
Is that normal or is it an error in the part or rendering in LDCad?
Looking at it from another angle it is gone.

  Software crash problem
Posted by: jass - 2021-06-17, 13:19 - Forum: Help - Replies (1)

I updated the latest all-in version with 2.4.0 of Lpub. But it always crashed when I change the size of building material page or some information in the step. I don't know what's wrong about the new version or I need to change some option before use it.

I have been using LDBoxer to reduce the polycount of my models.

Can anyone explain why framerate is not improved when using them in for instance LDView? Thanks.

Bad vertex sequence in BFC-enabled quad.
Posted by: Michael Horvath - 2021-06-11, 4:23 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (3)

How do I fix a file with errors like this? Do I simply copy and paste 'New Quad' over 'Original Quad' in the part file?

Error: Bad vertex sequence in BFC-enabled quad.
File: a6039.dat
Line #52: 4 16 10 0 4.14 20 32 8.28 10 0 -4.14 20 32 -8.28
(Note: disabling BFC for this quad.)
Original Quad: <10 0 4.14> <20 32 8.28> <10 0 -4.14> <20 32 -8.28>
New Quad: <10 0 4.14> <20 32 8.28> <20 32 -8.28> <10 0 -4.14>

  Snapshot and piping errors
Posted by: Michael Horvath - 2021-06-09, 22:12 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (8)

I am trying to use LDView to generate snapshots from the command line. The problem is, that models with errors cause a popup message to be spawned that I need to click through. Is there a way to pipe these error messages to a text file instead? They are important messages that I would like to read, but I don't want to stall the snapshot generation process since I have ~1k parts I need snapshots of.

  BFC and LDView
Posted by: Michael Horvath - 2021-06-09, 22:08 - Forum: Parts Authoring - Replies (6)

When viewing parts in LDView with BFC colors turned on, should the part appear red, green or blue?

What is a "neutral" face?

How do I fix a part that is the wrong color?

Thanks.
