Hello 👋
I've created a small webapp that generates LEGO houses, 1980s style!
Â
It's a bit like one of those AI image generators, except it uses traditional Procedural Generation techniques, not AI. As well as displaying the model you can zoom, spin around etc, and you can download the LDraw source to edit the house in your favourite tool.
I should say that it's probably fairly useless at this point and it does have a few issues: - There are quite a lot of cases where it overlaps bricks, especially on a roof
- Bricks on a roof are sometimes not interleaved
- Many of the houses it generates are a bit boring! But keep clicking and you'll probably find something a bit funky!
This is only the first public version, but I'll be adding features and fixing bugs and I'll keep this thread updated with notable changes.

Enjoy!

Hi,
I guess you have experienced by yourself that the LDraw Primitives Reference is pretty outdate by now and should be fixed. I see this as a collaborative effort, where all authors should help in an update. No time constraints though - it has been like this for several years now and a month or two or three more doesn't change a thing.
The question is how do we tackle this so that the work isn't loaded on the shoulders of one person only.

Hi guys,
I haven't been here a while and I just started using LDPE. I have installed it, played with it a bit, but I have some questions. I have found some documentation which has answered some of my initial questions but there's one thing I can't figure out: how do I use Intersecter from within LDPE? I've found it on the Tools menu, but I can't figure out how to pass it the two files/ shapes I want to intersect.
It's probably very simple once you know....
Thanks!

The 2023-06 LDraw Parts Update has been released. This update adds 315 new files to the core library, including 157 new parts and 8 new primitives.
Thanks are due to all the part authors who created or corrected parts for this release. The small, but dedicated, band of reviewers also play an important role in keeping files moving through the Parts Tracker and deserve just as much credit. This update wouldn't have been possible without their dedication and attention to detail.
You can preview the new parts in 2023-06 here, and download the zip-file update or Windows install package here.
Thank you to all the beta testers and parts authors who continue feedback for the new PT software. This project would not be what it is without your help.

| Error when taking part into LDCad |

I am trying to use the part 75974.dat Technic Pneumatic Airtank (Complete) in LDCad.
I get the message:Â
Missing LDraw file dependencies for the current model
C:\%USER%\AppData\Local\LPub3D Software\LPub3d\libraries\complete.zip\ldraw\p\axl2hole.dat
I have downloaded a new complete.zip file an I can see that the axl2hole.dat file is in it.
I can still work with it in LDCad, but when it comes to LPub3D, it crashes.
Everything was OK some weeks ago with an older version of complete.zip, LDCad and Lpub3D.
