LEGO Space is back in 2024 and BOY DO I LOVE IT
Posted by: Steffen - 2024-02-19, 1:57 - Forum: Off-Topic - Replies (1)

LEGO Space is back in 2024 and BOY DO I LOVE IT.

They introduced nice playability features:
- modular space modules that interconnect
- crystal harvesting that is used to create energy cells used for power through all the sets consistently
- compatibility in design and functionality between FRIENDS and CITY sets
- reusing the CLASSIC SPACE logo in a new signature color BRIGHT BRIGHT ORANGE
- awesome spacey design
- special computer/monitor flatscreen elements

Just noticed omr.ldraw.org is redirecting to the forum. I would expect it to go to the new location.

This is also polluting search engine results.

  Part request: Airplane Front 69953c01/c02
Posted by: Sebastian Palm - 2024-02-18, 21:02 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (1)

Hi again!

So I've checked the usual suspects for this, but I couldn't find "Aircraft Fuselage Forward Top Curved 6 x 10 x 4 with 2 Window Panes" as a downloadable 3d model anywhere:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/cat...#T=C&C=236

As far as I can tell, it's supposed to be available as 69953c01 with trans-clear glass and 69953c02 with trans-light-blue glass.

I know there's an easy substitution (the old version with the separate windscreen, 87612/87613), but I would vastly prefer having the correct parts for sets 60317 and 60343 if anyone has them.

  Mermaid/Merman Tail with right flukes - 75648pb04
Posted by: Zach M - 2024-02-17, 14:09 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (1)

Hey y'all! Smile

Looking for the new(?) mermaid tail that's used in the Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell set. If the one from the Royal Clamshell is available I'd love that, but can be the unprinted as well (75648 or 76125)!

Based on his body of work and the awesome job on the Muppet heads, I have promoted Fredrik Hareide [fhareide] to part reviewer.

Thanks for your continued contributions to the LDraw.org Official Library!

  Snap to flexible parts
Posted by: Jaco van der Molen - 2024-02-14, 8:39 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - Replies (5)

Hi all,

Is there a good way to add snapinfo (LDCad) to a flexible part like a rigid hose?
I'd like to be able to snap parts with clips (for example) to a formed and curved rigid hose.

Thanks!

Jaco

P.S. I did ask before, and got things to work a little. Still very complex and a lot of work.
I'd like to see it to be standard. If possible.

See also https://forums.ldraw.org/thread-26354.html for something similar. Never got this to work properly either :-(

  Minifig fig-014654 request (E-Sports Gamer)
Posted by: Geo Draco - 2024-02-14, 7:35 - Forum: Part Requests - Replies (2)

Hello,

requesting the parts for series 25 collectable figure “E-Sports Gamer”, since it doesn’t appear to be in the database as of yet (relatively new prints). Rebrickable link: https://rebrickable.com/minifigs/fig-014...mer/#parts
[Image: 800x800p.jpg?1704294300.2870128]

Alternatively, are there any resources available on how one might go about recreating printed minifigure parts in LDraw themselves? I’m unfamiliar with the process of making parts for LDraw, but I do have some 3D experience already and might like to attempt adding some of these new figure prints myself, if the process is not terribly difficult.
