Duplo parts....missing?

Duplo parts....missing?
#1
Hello everyone!

This is my first post. I am just started with Mlcad and it is impressive how many parts has got the LDraw library.

Now I am trying to make virtual duplo models but I can not find some parts. I have done a lot of searches with differents words, numbers.... and I do not know if the parts are not available or I am doing something wrong (possibly is the right answer).

I would like to use 1x3x2 triangle and 1x3x2 round sign. I post two images because in brickset/rebrickable there are a lot of reference numbers for the same parts.

Thank you very much, and Merry Christmas!

Hi Lando,

First welcome here (and Merry Xmas Wink )

These parts indeed are missing from LDraw library, as do many Duplo parts unfortunately... The good news is that both of them have simple geometrical shapes, moreover they exist in LEGO/Unity microgame parts library. So converting them into LDraw parts is not an impossible task! I have a try!

Thank you very much!

But I still have a problem to use them. I don´t know if I have put the files correctly in the parts library.

I have downloaded XXXXX.dat and the aditional files XXXXXs01.dat.

Then I have put them in C:\Users\Public\Documents\LDraw\parts directory   It is OK?

When I run MLCad, I scan parts and it writes new ini file, but when I look for the parts MLCad says that "XXXXXXs01.dat not found! Continue loading?"

And this is what happens....

did you put the XXXs01.dat into "parts\s"?

If they are in \parts it will not find them

...and if you are new to all LDraw stuff, I suggest that you try a modern editor instead of the obsolete MLCad. My favorite one is LDCad (http://www.melkert.net/LDCad)

Thank you very much...again. That was the problem. With the files in "parts\s" works fine.
.
I use MLCad because I like working with more views, and because sometimes I don´t plug the mause in the laptop.
