I think this is quiet a challenge. We have a free Ldraw ID, but a mismatch with the names. Rebrickable points out "Metallic Silver (Ldraw 80)" , but this is already taken by (LEGO ID 315 "Silver Metallic").
We could create a new color or map LEGO ID 336 also to LDraw ID 80.
