| [LDPE] 1.8.94 Released (OverlappingSurfacesFinder) |

Hey,
this version gives you a new tool. The OverlappingSurfacesFinder.
This tool can find overlapping, touching or intersecting surfaces and T-junctions, too.
It supports three scopes: "all surfaces / selection (against all surfaces) / selection (against itself)"
The search is relatively fast and efficient, since it uses special data structures to avoid intersection tests against every surface (R*-tree) and multithreading.
It is really fast when you use it to test a selection of hundreds of surfaces against itself.
Please consider that it can return false positives and negatives, too.

As always, you can download LDPE from this page:
http://nilsschmidt1337.github.io/ldparteditor/
Changelog:
(1 new feature)
With this release you will be able to...
- ...detect overlapping surfaces (with the new OverlappingSurfacesFinder tool).
The program was tested intensively with "real world" files.
However, something can go wrong in about 140.000 lines of code.
Installation on Windows:
- Download and extract LDPartEditor_win32_x64.zip
- Run LDPartEditor-1.8.94.msi
- Start LDPartEditor from the start menu
Installation on Linux:
- Download and extract LDPartEditor_linux_x64.zip
- Install ldparteditor_1.8.94-1_amd64.deb
- Start LDPartEditor from the menu or via launcher
Installation on Mac OS X:
- Download and extract LDPartEditor_mac_x64.zip
- Mount LDPartEditor-1.8.94.dmg
- Drag LDPartEditor.app to the Applications folder
- Copy ldparteditor.sh to your home folder
4a. Open a Terminal.app and run ./ldparteditor.sh
4b. Or open a Terminal.app and run /Applications/LDPartEditor.app/Contents/MacOS/LDPartEditor
I listen carefully to your requests and possible complaints. Please leave me a message, with your thoughts and wishes to further improve the software.
LDPE is a 3D CAD application: The overall system requirements are higher. While I recommend to use a powerful 64-bit multicore system, it could be possible, to run LDPE on older machines as well.
System Requirements:
Minimum System Requirements:
- OpenGL 2.1 compatible Graphics Card
- Operating System (64-bit): Windows [7 or newer], Linux [e.g. Ubuntu Linux >=14.4], Mac OS X [>=10.6]
- CPU: Multicore-Processor e.g. Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon II (>2.0Ghz)
- RAM: 4GB
- Video-Memory: 1 GB
- Free Disk Space: 150 MB
Recommended Requirements:
- Operating System (64bit): Windows 7,8,10,11, Linux [e.g. Ubuntu Linux >=14.4], Mac OS X [>=10.6]
- OpenGL 3.3 compatible Graphics Card
- CPU: Multicore-Processor with 4 cores (or more)
- RAM: >4 GB
- Video-Memory: >1 GB
- Free Disk Space: 500 MB
- For a faster start, LDPartEditor and the LDraw™ library should be installed on an SSD.

Hello, wondering if anyone would be interested in the unusual head parts from the Vidiyo line, which are all available as 3D assets in the Vidiyo app (although I've been unable to extract them myself so far).

Hi.
I would like to make an request for Helmet part x168 (also known as 30038, 30243).
This is an important part for people who want to make minifigs from Exploriens, RoboForce, Rock Raiders and servel others LEGO Themes.
I also found an old tread about the same part from 2012.
Regards Christian

I'm pleased to announce that Magnus Forsberg and Gerald Lasser have been granted full LDraw.org Library Admin status.
I will retain day-to-day admin duties such as Part Updates and user management. In addition to me, Magnus and Gerald will be able to Admin Review parts. I've been wanting to do normal review of parts and this will allow me to do so. They will also provide vital redundancy in case I become unavailable for some reason.
