Hi everyone!

I see 87756pb01, 87757pb01, 92945pb01, 93148pb01 and 92943pb01 do not exist yet. Is someone interested in creating these parts?

  Studio to ldraw
Posted by: Agent - 2022-08-09, 18:01 - Forum: Help - Replies (2)

For quite some time now I have been building official LEGO Sets in stud.io. Recently I stumbled upon the OMR, and realized that many of the sets I built were not in there and I wanted to contribute.

Now to the question: Is there an easy and fast way to convert .io files to LDraw files.

PS: I am sorry if this is in the wrong section or if this has been answered before.

Question to LPub3D in a virtual PC
Posted by: Manfred Schaefer - 2022-08-09, 17:13 - Forum: LDraw File Processing and Conversion - No Replies

Hello,
does anyone have experience with Istallation of the AIOI including LPub3D or only LPub3D in a virtual machine.
If so, what operating system did you use for the host and guest? Which virtualization software did you use?

I used Virtualbox 6.1.34 with Ubuntu 22.04 as host OS and Windows 7 (64bit), Windows 10 (64bit) and Ubuntu 22.04 as guest OS.
With Windows, the graphics were terrible. The rendering in LDView was fine.
With Ubuntu, the display of the model or build steps is too large. However, if I increase the distance for the camera in the menu item for the visual editor under Preference, the display of the model becomes smaller.

I used the newest AIOI in Windows and the latest version of LPub3D in Ubuntu.

I suspect a problem with the graphics here, but it should simulate a standard graphics card and the appearance should be like a real computer.

Greetings

Manfred

  LPub3D, not displayed correctly
Posted by: Manfred Schaefer - 2022-08-06, 19:07 - Forum: LDraw Editors and Viewers - No Replies

I have installed the AIOI in Windows 7 (64Bit).
Windows 7 was installed in a virtual PC in Virtualbox.
Now I have the problem that the models are not displayed correctly. [Image: sad.png]
The following image shows the example file pyramid.dat

If I select "Visuall Editor\Shading\Flat Shading" in the menu, the image changes as follows.

With Windows 10 (64Bit) also in a virtual PC the same result comes.[Image: sad.png]

Can anyone help me?

Update
It seems to be a graphics problem with the virtualization.
An older version running without problems on my old computer shows the same behavior in the virtual PC.
The issue is over for me for now.

Regards

Manfred

  Castle - Wolfpack

As the main Castle thread will go long and resource-eating, it should be split into subthemes.

[Suggestion] Systematize the Official Model forum
Posted by: Javier Orquera - 2022-08-05, 23:05 - Forum: Official Models - Replies (4)

In order to have a well order in this forum, I propose the following: divide in themes sub-forums, inside of each of them in sub-themes sub-forums and (finaly) on each sub-forum by year.

Example:

  • Lego Space
            -Legoland/Classic
                 *1979
                 *1980
                 *1981
                 *etc
            -Blacktron
                 *1988
                 *etc
             -Space Police
                  *1989
                  *etc
             -Futuron
                  *1990
                  *etc
             -etc
  • etc

Important thread keeps for discussion such as: which year go these set, which theme (or sub-theme) correspond the set, etc

I hope this can be doable.

Any opinion are welcome.
