60601/60602 glass & 60592/60593 windows

60601/60602 glass & 60592/60593 windows

@Philo - Sorry for repeating the same mistake, the certified 60601 looked thinner than the previous 60602, which seemed OK with 60592 (attached).
I'll dig out the windows from 10214 this weekend and check the proportions of the material thickness.

looks like the glass is 4 LDU thick - 5 fit in space of one brick.
frame widths are good, but inset for glass should be 7-1/2 LDU.

OK, so you mean that actually the windows frames are wrong? That was my feeling too (too bad, more difficult to edit), thanks for confirmation.

I've actually got the start of a fresh set of frames that I was working to the actual elements' proportions so I wouldn't be biased to the originals.
I haven't touched anything since Sunday (busy week), but will try to address my current parts' issues first this weekend, then look at the alignment of the holes & panes' tabs, and the underside of the windows.

updated windows and glass for comments
original parts in gray/smoke
new 'g' parts in white/clear

no offense is intended to original author(s)
these are rewrites - tried to utilize as many rect and box primitives as possible to reduce line count

4 LDU thick glass
deeper frames for glass - 7.5 LDU from front face
larger holes for tabs on glass - 5 LDU diameter
adjusted stud grabbing triangles - 4 LDU off x- & z-axes, narrow angle

SECOND UPDATED MPD FILE ATTACHED

They look good!

Just don't forget to keep original header (author and history)!

Otherwise, there are unintended T-junctions at junction between bottom stud centering ribs and frame (the triangle joining them is too narrow).

Yep - those T-s are unintended - I'll check them out and add the original headers to the 'g' parts.
- UPDATE - - found it - had a skinnier place-holder in there till I could get good measurements. Will fix tonight.
- UPDATE - - replaced MPD in earlier post, will remove 'g' in file names, post new 60602 in tracker, and send the rest to admin.

When you get these done could you do some shortcuts of the windows with clear (47) glass in them too? I'm not sure if other colours exist but I've certainly not seent them.

Definitely - I included shortcuts in 10214-1, I'll prep for tracker and upload.
UPDATE: submitted.
