Torus naming

Torus naming
#1
I need a 5-24 torus (mixed-mode), but primgen2 is denoting any fraction other than the multiples of 2 with "99".
12-48 becomes 04
11-48 becomes 99
10-48 becomes 99
9-48 becomes 99
8-48 becomes 06
7-48 becomes 99
6-48 becomes 08
5-48 becomes 99
4-48 becomes 12
3-48 becomes 16
2-48 becomes 24
Should I just accept the name proposed by primgen2 or think about rotating a smaller prim?

If rotate a prim, then which is better; 6+rotated4 or 8+inlined2 ? The benefit of the latter is that the interface to the blocking element can be tailored.

Maybe just use primgen2 to make the file, but rename it manually?

Please read the definition of the torus primitive on the prim ref page (and scroll down).  The behaviour of the Primgen2 is correct. Only a few are allowed.

various ways to cut tori (and how to name them) have been discussed here (without result yet):
