When is a model transferred to the Official Model Repository?

Models of official Lego sets are published in the Official Models thread.
When will these models be transferred to the Official Model Repository?
Will the models be deleted from the threads or will it be marked that this model has been transferred to the Official Model Repository?

There currently isn't a good way to add models to the OMR. It's on my list but between being ill and swamped at work I haven't had a lot of time to code.
