I assume based on the java logo/icon thing in the top left that it's written in java, if so it must be fairly portable.

Will you distribute it for mac/linux too? or better yet release the source?

Yes, it is written in JAVA. I intend to develop (or get someone with a Mac to develop) some features for Bricksmith.

As with all of my LEGO software, I will also distribute the source code.
