Information
Hi,

Here are some photos of patterned parts from sets 41615 and 41616. Could someone work on these parts? I can provide further photos if needed.

Many thanks!

As I had no reply I started to learn designing parts by myself. Of course I started with easy ones. The following are on the PT:

i have being working on this brick. i was wondering if some one could help me with the colors. I can't find the correct numbers for the feather

also make recommendations to be fixed. it looks some sharp edges due i want to reduce the amount of triangles that this design has.

If you cannot find the right color, measure it and go with Direct color:

Hi Victor,

I did not watch the forum and did not see you were working on that part as well. I started working on it last week (I forgot to update that thread) and submitted the same part on the PT yesterday morning: http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cg...69bph2.dat

I used my photo and also the photo from Bricklink: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/cat...=2#T=C&C=2 where you can see that even if my photo show a blank area within the wand on the second photo it is actually full.
I used following colors:
Dark Brown for the Arrow
Reddish Brown for the text and the wand
White and Dark Tan for the feather and its shadow

I'm sorry we both spent time on the same part...

Dunno if it will console you, but this happens also to seasoned parts authors... Got caught several times!

Think of it not as time lost but time spent getting better at authoring parts.
