1236 - Garage

I have no idea how I managed to kill two and a half years before completing this thread, but here at long last is set 1236, the garage with "automatic door". (The door, frame and baseplate parts were also available as a standalone parts pack in set 1235.)
While this isn't the very earliest version of the set, the model here shows the build from the earliest instructions. In order to get the alternating stack of 1x1 and 1x2 bricks around the door frame, you need the frame with two small tabs on each side (821b), corresponding to where the 1x2 bricks go. But this is actually a revision to the original door frame (821a), which had tabs running the full height, so that you had to stack four 1x2's on either side in order to slide in the frame.
Several new parts accompany this project, including both door frames mentioned above, the door itself (assembly 822ec01), and this earliest version of the printed 1x8 brick, which came in either black (925p0y) or red (925p0z).
