Unfortunately we are desperately lacking documentations/tutorials for most part editing tools. Some time ago I made this video that describes how to do a simple pattern with LDPC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vax5vvJH_Rs
This is more or less what you need to do for the torso (flat pattern) but the head is significantly more tricky since it's 3D... I'll try to do it!
