- I do run the program to the command line. That's how I figured out I needed to install glu. However, there are no messages.
- Based on my experience with building LDView for the LDraw server, there are some differences between Debian and Ubuntu.
- I did some experimentaion. The program does run normally if I run as root (e.g. sudo LDCad).
I do have exactly the same problem. start from command line: no messages, nothing special in the log.
If I start with sudo, messages appear:
(LDCad64:26572): dconf-WARNING **: 12:31:20.293: failed to commit changes to dconf: Failed to execute child process ?dbus-launch? (No such file or directory)
But I don' know if this is relevant.
Maybe the problem has something to do with (not) showing up the licence-window with second start?
If I don't delete the config folder and start as root, the licence window is shown.
