Interesting, didn't know that yet.
Is the mesh designed the same way (2 separate sub-parts)? Should the LDraw version simply mimic the real part's composition?
Do you have the real part? Are there any assemblies possible where the position of the arm pins lines up with anything? Aren't there studs on the back?
If the pins are at 40.924 than a "harsh" rounding would be at 41, not 40. But I'd keep at least 40.9, I'm curious if that is intentional for some reason - offset due to minifig dimensions or something?

Having the minifig torso separate might make the pattern creation a bit more stream-lined as well I'd say.
