23763 axl torso - Jeff Jones - 2025-06-02 i am asking this because i dont have part sorry if worded weridly but on the unity mesh things like the 2 studs the neck stud and pinhole arent extactly in system????, they always have like a decimal consisting of at leats 3 numbers is it like that on the real part?, should i simplify it or use the werid locations found on the mesh RE: 23763 axl torso - Chris Böhnke - 2025-06-03 Official meshes sometimes (or often ![]() What's more important is the position of said pins. Can you tell where their center is? Those should probably be "in system". Though for a figure part like this, there is some chance it might be off as well (but should be a somewhat "round" number as well). Correct the origin and compare some vertices on left/right side. They match. Add the 973.dat Cut it in halves, make a subfile, and reduce away all unnecessary vertices. Many are on flat surfaces. Remove the top stud, and add a 4-4cylc as neck pin. The surface around is probably flat. y=0 Replace the peg hole, and add a pinhole structure. Need a rework. Center at y=11 Seams hard to use a conhole primitiv. 1 16 20 11 0 0 -1 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 connhol3.dat The red thing on the chest might need more work to look good. I would add more vertices to make it "rounder". Close all the gaps around the standard torso. Add some kind of blocker to close the internal arm holes in 973.dat. RE: 23763 axl torso - Chris Böhnke - 2025-06-03 Interesting, didn't know that yet. Is the mesh designed the same way (2 separate sub-parts)? Should the LDraw version simply mimic the real part's composition? Do you have the real part? Are there any assemblies possible where the position of the arm pins lines up with anything? Aren't there studs on the back? If the pins are at 40.924 than a "harsh" rounding would be at 41, not 40. But I'd keep at least 40.9, I'm curious if that is intentional for some reason - offset due to minifig dimensions or something? EDIT: Having the minifig torso separate might make the pattern creation a bit more stream-lined as well I'd say. Studs are "off grid". Don't have the part. I can only guess, the torso must have been printed before it is fused/glued into the top half. RE: 23763 axl torso - Jeff Jones - 2025-06-03 ![]() currently origin is at bottom of 973 but i rather have the top subpart be at where the minifig neck is because thats how it is attached "-normal minifig torso is glued to the upper one at the top - tip of the neck and top of body." what would be a good name for this? Figure Midfig Torso with Armour and Pinholes also ids to use for both the top part and the assembly? maybe 23763 for the assembly and 24128 for the top part there was a image showing the bottom part of the seperated part showing a id but cant find it ![]() RE: 23763 axl torso - Javier Orquera - 2025-06-03 (2025-06-03, 20:50)Magnus Forsberg Wrote: Yes, studs on back are missing. If you get the mesh from the Unity Microgame, the part comes with studs. Here I attach it. Have the decoration surfaces but I deleted it. RE: 23763 axl torso - Jeff Jones - 2025-06-04 probably need internal surface so it doesnt look ugly when viewed bottom also it seems the mesh has some inaccuracies and updated dats RE: 23763 axl torso - Javier Orquera - 2025-06-04 (2025-06-04, 9:56)Jeff Jones Wrote: probably need internal surface so it doesnt look ugly when viewed bottom Here you have a couple of screenshots from the bottom: RE: 23763 axl torso - Magnus Forsberg - 2025-06-04 (2025-06-04, 13:03)Javier Orquera Wrote: Here you have a couple of screenshots from the bottom: Is that from a video?
