Actually this is suppose to become a fake rope spool (outer layer like Yx Wang's version).
Just need to figure out an efficient start (tugged below) and end (toward eg a hook).

An extra option determining the 2 orientations would solve your problem though.
You can keep existing caps by simply selecting the current end cap before running the macro.
