I use the shock template as spring for some tensioning structure in lego. I tried to import to studio but the similar sping was a different part as shock-10L-damped-3.dat is not avaliable. 
   
Although the process is quite convoluted. but I found the winding of the sping is quite similar to a spool of string. I tried to make a model with the template but it still not perfect. if I can change the sping skin metadata to string "ldcLQRopeSeg.dat" can drastically improve visual of a spool of string.
