please add the ability to remember permanently each pieces pivot/origin point (selection center trough) custom position (it shouldn't revert back to its default origin when you deselect it) 

I'm wondering why you'd want this, LDraw piece origins are thought about extensively so you can't be needing this often?

If this is purly because of eg hinge rotation points etc, you can also rotate trough the snap points using the tab key.

That said I will look into to it but other then adding some shadow meta for it, I don't see a practical solution to this.
