Most probably because you didn't load the subpart
https://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.c...385s01.dat
and placed it in ..\s folder relatively to matin part location.

hi tried what you said made sure that 3885.dat was in the custom parts /parts folder
 and the 3885s02.dat was in the custom parts /parts /s folder but this is all i get

any help appreciated

going to assume that matin was supposed to be main (just wanted to check)
