use the ring-prim only at the ends of the part, in the middle use ndis and fill up with triangles/quads (see pink areas), then theres no overlap

Ok, I'm in way over my head here so I'll just wait for someone to put it on the parts tracker (someone will do it eventually anyhow)
I don't have any tools such as blender or anything like that, I am trying (probably rather foolishjly) creating parts from LDRAW script alone.
