I did some research, and I discovered that. However, if you look here and search for assumed_gamma, you'll see that it's more complicated than that. Specifically, it interacts with the #version tag in ways that I'm not fully understanding simply by reading what they write. So, if I put 3.5 in #version, it seems that this changes the behavior of assumed_gamma. Also, I think adding #version 3.5 stops the assumed_gamma warning.
It's clear that I need to do something. I'd just like it if all my default values were self-consistent. I'll probably make the #version setting one of the options, perhaps with 3.5 as the default value.
