I wonder how to make the hose thicker as a real part.

I use the LSynth LS60 segment in my own LDCad string template (it looks more like real string than the cylindrical donors that come with LDCad). You can easily scale them in X and Z to make the string thicker or thinner, by changing the rotation matrix in the path skin dialog.
