The pattern looks good but I'd say that there is way too much detail. Consider that the studs on the slope are just made of 16 faces to cover 360 degrees. Try eliminating every second vertex and I bet it looks still good. Compare for example http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cg...04490d.dat
