Hi,
I just want to drop a note that I will implement a second render path for modern OpenGL 3.
I already implemented some provisions for OpenGL 3 support.
Currently, LDPE uses only the legacy OpenGL 1.0 and 2.0 API (which is now deprecated since 8 years).
This means that I will maintain two render paths to support both, old and modern hardware.
I will also try to make use of OpenGL 4.5 and Vulkan, but OpenGL 3 has now the highest priority.
As a end-user, you don't have to learn anything new. The "look and feel" will stay the same.
I guess the overall performance will increase by a huge amount.
Leg godt,
Nils
