In the meantime (I guess this is a huge work) maybe it would be interesting to provide a hint of the level of connectivity a part offers? Something like a dot in parts bin, red = no connectivity, orange = some inherited connectivity, green = full connectivity. Of course this is only interesting if it can be generated automagically, otherwise if a manual intervention is to be done it would probably be better using that time to define connectivity
