Color per part

Color per part
#1
Hi together,

is there somewhere the information available which official part exists with which color? Currently I can use each part with each color in MLCad e.g. I'd like to know which parts do really exist.

Best Regards

Thank you very much. This helps a bit.
Is there in addition some more or less official list like the xml files from ldraw available?

As does BrickLink:

I've personally found this site more comprehensive and easier to check colours with, especially since part numbers and names more closely match that used by LDraw. I vaguely remember wanting to put my boot through the screen trying to use BrickSet to find parts.

I feel your pain, OTOH Brickset is the sure source to find real design numbers of parts. But I agree that LEGO parts names used by Brickset are often far from obvious... I often resort to a convolved way, first find a set that contains the part I look for, then browse the inventory to identify its part number.

Yes - my technique also.
