Part 8018 - Cockpit 3 x 6 x 4 with Pin Hole, Inverted Studs on Back

Hiya,

I'm working on a project that I want to document in BrickLink Stud.io, and have been looking at the part 8018 - Cockpit 3 x 6 x 4 with Pin Hole, Inverted Studs on Back (see picture below), which is a new part from the Iron Man and His Awesome Friends line. It appears to be currently in the process of being added to LDraw, hence its absence in Stud.io.

I'd be happy to work on the part myself, but I've never interfaced with LDraw and don't really know where to start. Is there any chance that anyone would be willing to either help me get the part figured out and/or help me get started working on it myself?

Do you already have the following programs?

• Full LDraw Installation (including LDView)
  
• Latest parts update
  
• LDraw Parts Editor (LDPE)
  
• text editor of your choice (like Windows Editor or Notepad++)
  

It would also help greatly if you have a copy of the real part for reference (especially verifying connection points). If not, you might want to get some images of real ones online (Bricklink has at least back and front).

Have you considered working on a more simpler part first? It's hard to tell at this stage, but it's probably a challenging one for the start.
